Tony Blackman - Vulcan Test Pilot

Tony Blackman was educated at Trinity College Cambridge, where he obtained an honours degree in Physics. After joining the Royal Air Force he learnt to fly, trained as a test pilot and then joined A.V.Roe and Co. Ltd. where he became Chief Test Pilot.

During his time working for the company he was assigned the task of testing the Vulcan and demonstrating it to potential purchasers.

Now residing near Southampton, with his wife Margaret, he still has a keen interest in aviatio0n and has published a number of books, both fiction and non-fiction on the subject.
